Description
Story of my van. While working at Google, and living in the city, the dreadful commute began to outweigh some of the great perks. I had enjoyed amenities like free food, free laundry, and a gym to use at my leisure. Once I discovered the community of van dwellers on some of the internal Google groups, I was determined to explore this as an option.I purchased the van in 2016 and immediately started the build-out. I had a general contractor add solar panels, solar batteries, insulation, outlets, and sound damping features. He added LED lighting and a walnut wood ceiling. The rest of the woodwork and additional customization was done by me.After living in them for about 18 months, I ended up moving in with my girlfriend, and the van took on a different role. We started using it for weekend trips. She has made it more of a tiny home, but it works incredibly well for pick up and go "glamping" but enough storage for all our gear and bikes.Sad to part with such a great sidekick to our adventures. Here are the parameters as far as additions:- LED lights
